Book: Knitsonik Stranded Colourwork Sourcebook by Felicity Ford

I first met Felix (Felicity) in the Summer of 2014, when she came to our Studio to interview us about Layercake. She had bought her first Layercake at Woolfest and she was keen to find out how it is that so many Layercake wearers seem so happy!

Andrea made a wool Tabard for Felix after that first meeting, out of a beloved fabric Felix had inherited. Sinze then, we also made Tabards for her bridesmaids and recently, Felix walked away with her first Layercake Playsuit. I think she'll never look back (I live in my Playsuits!!!).

But, I digress...what about this book?

Published in 2014, the Knitsonik Stranded Colourwork Sourcebook shows you how to design your own stranded colourwork.

Artist and designer Felicity Ford AKA Felix shows you how to translate ordinary subjects into extraordinary stranded colour work with a playful and inventive approach that she calls the Knitsonik system.

She teaches how to find inspiration in daily life, translate that inspiration into a colour palette and then recreate the richness you see in the objects around you into a knitted fabric with the use of clever shading.

The book contains 12 case studies and 2 accessory patterns to deliver a wealth of tips, tricks and inspiration for you to be able to start knitting stranded colourwork or to take yours to the next level.
