50% silk, 50% yak
For best results hand wash in cold water.
Hand painted One-Of-A-Kind colours dyed in small batches as a complement to the solid colours available in Tall Yarns’ Blend 2 Yak/Silk 4-ply.
An extremely soft and luscious smooth plied yarn with the sheen of silk and the soft fuzz of yak down, this produces a soft, warm and drapey fabric which can be worn by those allergic to sheep’s wool. It makes next-to-the-skin soft garments which are fine enough to layer for warmth, and beautiful enough to be worn by themselves, blocking superbly for lace work but just as good in simple stocking or garter stitch. Use for anything from a drapey oversized sweater, to a lacy shawl, to a single skein collar-filling neckerchief.
OOAKs are not repeatable, so please ensure you purchase enough yarn to complete your project.
