This shawl is a design by Stephen West. Please purchase the pattern from him (on Ravelry or from his website, WestKnits).
The original design by Stephen gets knitted in 4-ply yarn on 3.75mm needles. The resulting shawl is very large. By knitting exactly the same pattern on slightly smaller needles (3.25mm and with a finer yarn (600m per 100gms), the end-result is less voluminous yet just as striking.
