The picture showing the models is to illustrate fit (not fabrics), the models ranging from 5'3" to 5'9" and size 0P to 2L. The pictures of the dresses are examples of all 3 lengths in size 2.
Pre-order: this pre-order offer runs until the end of Monday 29 April (UK GMT). After that, prices revert back to their usual level. All orders received during the pre-order will be produced in the first half of May and ship on Monday 20 May. Other (in-stock) items ordered together with your pre-order Layercake will be shipped when your pre-order is ready. If you would like the rest of your order sooner, please order your in-stock items separately.
The Summer Tulip Dress is made using our medium-weight linen and is offered here in a range of popular and new linen colours, selected to complement your existing wardrobes. The dress has a slight balloon-shape to the skirt, and the arm holes are reduced in depth to create a neater fit, which allows you to wear the dress without a top underneath when ordering your usual Layercake size. Sizing up delivers a more familiar Layercake feel, giving you more play depending on what you prefer.

The neater cut of the dress and the skirt's shaping gives the Summer Tulip a structured pear shaped silhouette. As with all our clothing, choosing different sizes means that any changes are kept in proportion.

We do everything we can to be truly size-inclusive. We can highly individualise your garment, by adapting the standard fit and/or choosing a non-standard fabric/colour.

Linen Care & Washing Instructions
Every Layercake has washing labels sewn into them, usually in the left side-seam. All our linen is pre-shrunk, unless stated otherwise and can be machine-washed at 40º C and either line-dried or machine-dried. If you machine-dry them, take them out of the dryer as soon as it finishes and hang them up straightaway, then you will not have to iron them.
Our Linen
Linen is one of the world's strongest textiles and most sustainable fashion choices, creating zero waste as every part of the plant is used (for textiles and food). Our linen is all European grown, yarn-dyed and woven especially for us, then boil-washed to pre-shrink it.
