Layercake Slackers come in two different lengths. The difference in sizes between the Large and XLarge is achieved by varying the length of the elastic at the waist. If in doubt, check the Fit Guide (click the tab below the product description).
Details
This is a pre-order listing that runs until the end of Monday 14 October. Your Slackers orders will then be produced in the following week of October and sent out by 25 October latest.
Once the pre-order period finishes, the Slackers are still available to order but no longer at the pre-order offer price. In stock items ordered together with your pre-order Slackers will be sent out together with your Slackers once they are ready. For separate shipments, please place separate orders.
Like the HiLo's and Baggies, Slackers are (and are meant to be!) VERY roomy. They combine a straight leg with a dropped crotch (which hits at about knee-height) and large slash pockets (for more details about the shape and fit watch Ep 109 of the Slow Wardrobe podcast on YouTube - available from 26 Jan). The resulting silhouette is less rounded than the HiLo's and Baggies but follows the relaxed, over-sized feel of most of the Layercake range. And just like the HiLo's and Baggies, they can be worn full-length or cropped, depending on the look you are after. The wide leg-shape gives them a culotte-like feel when worn cropped. When worn full-length, they are super-comfortable, easy to team with just about any other Layercake and they hit that typical Layercake combination of looking both quirky and sophisticated at the same time.
“MY CHOICE" colour requests and how to order them:
This option allows you to pick a Layercake Linen colour from one of the 3 Colour Charts.
To order a "my choice colour":
- Pick a colour from one of the 3 charts.
- Select the colour MC1, 2 or 3 (depending which chart shows the colour of your choice), select your size and length, then add to cart.
- On the Cart page, type the colour of your choice in the "Note to The Slow Wardrobe" box.
- Check out as usual.

This option allows you to pick a Layercake Linen colour that is not standard for this garment. We will then make this garment in your choice of colour.
Please note: we are out of stock of Pinstripe and Violet, so please refrain from choosing either of those. Bitter Lime is back in stock!

Trousers/Skirts
These garments are designed to fit a very wide range of sizes and heights, from a UK size 10 to 28. Check these garment measurements to give you an idea of their dimensions. All trouser and skirt lengths are measured from the top of the waistband down to the bottom of the hem, along the side seam.

We do everything we can to be truly size-inclusive. We can highly individualise your Layercake, by adapting the standard fit and/or choosing a non-standard fabric/colour.

Every Layercake has washing labels sewn into them, usually in the left side-seam. All our linen is pre-shrunk, unless stated otherwise and can be machine-washed at 40º C and either line-dried or machine-dried. If you machine-dry them, take them out of the dryer as soon as it finishes and hang them up straightaway, then you will not have to iron them.

Linen is one of the world's strongest textiles and most sustainable fashion choices, creating zero waste as every part of the plant is used (for textiles and food). Our linen is all European grown, yarn-dyed and woven especially for us, then boil-washed to pre-shrink it.
